D. SCOTT WITHERS
Director

D. Scott just finished the 1st National Tour of Catch Me If You Can and is thrilled to return to Hale where he directed last season’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird (AriZoni Award). Recent performance credits: The Color of Stars for Childsplay; Gypsy (AriZoni) and Hairspray (AriZoni) for Phoenix Theatre; Hairspray for Arkansas Rep; Baby for AZ Broadway Theatre. Scott is a 24-year member of the Childsplay ensemble who loves teaching and working with young artists. He has won AriZoni and National Youth Theatre Awards for directing Rent (School Edition), Pippin and Oliver at Greasepaint. Other directing credits: Androcles and the Lion for Childsplay; The Women for Phoenix Theatre; The Life  for Black Theatre Troupe; Jeffrey (AriZoni) for In Mixed Company. Up next, Scott will be playing the role of Mr. Simmons in the National Tour of Memphis. Scott holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from ASU and is originally from Idaho. 
 
LINCOLN WRIGHT
Music Director

Lincoln has music directed many of the Hale shows this season, including Hairspray, Damn Yankees, Forever Plaid, A Christmas Carol, Secret Garden, and Bye Bye Birdie. He is a pianist at Ballet Etudes and Ballet Arizona, composes music, and won an AriZoni for music composition for Southwest Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona. By day, Lincoln is an attorney at Udall Shumway law firm, handling nursing home neglect cases. Lincoln thanks Dave, Corrin, Scott and the fantastic Little Women cast. 

LAURIE TRYGG
Choreographer

Laurie is very happy to return to Hale Theatre after having choreographed South Pacific earlier this year. She was recently seen onstage at Arizona Broadway Theater in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,        9 to 5, Oklahoma, Will Rogers Follies, The Odd Couple, A Chorus Line, and CATS. Laurie has numerous choreography credits and has won ariZoni awards for Pippin, Pajama Game, Snoopy!, Annie Get Your Gun, and Oliver! 

 
SYDNEY HAWES

Sydney is honored to be making her Hale debut! No stranger to Arizona theatre, Sydney has performed in over twenty productions around the Valley, since age ten. She spent the last two years pursuing her acting career in Los Angeles and performing at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. Sydney is thrilled
to be back on stage again in Arizona! She would like to thank D. Scott Withers, the incredible Little Women cast, her family, friends, Hale Theatre, and most especially her father Matthew R. Hawes, for their constant love and support.
 
BECCA BRYCE

Becca is delighted to return once again to the Hale stage, having last been seen in this season's South Pacific. Her other favorite Hale roles include the Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol, Rose Lennox in The Secret Garden, and Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors. Becca holds a degree in Music Theatre Performance from ASU, and she is thrilled at the opportunity to bring this beautiful story to life. Many thanks go to this marvelously talented cast and crew for all their hard work on this production!

BRITTNEY PETERS

Brittney is a senior at Red Mountain High School. She has performed in many shows across the valley.  Favorite roles include: Eponine in Les Miserable for AYT (Zoni award), Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods for Greasepaint Youtheatre and Red Mountain (Tabbie award), and Jan in Grease at Red Mountain (NYA award).   She thanks God for her talent, her wonderful directors and her family for supporting her dreams!

 
AMANDA CRAWLEY

Amanda is thrilled to make her Hale Centre Theatre debut in Little Women!! She recently returned from BYU, pre-Musical Theatre Major, to serve a mission for her church. Utah Repertory Theatre’s premier productions: Side Show and I Love You Because. Other: Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel), Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal), Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), and Grease (Marty). She wishes to thank her friends and family for all their love and support!


BETH ANNE JOHNSON

Beth is delighted to be returning to the valley stages! Previous local credits include Rosamund in The Robber Bridegroom and The Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods for Phoenix Theatre, Nancy (AriZoni Award) in Valley Youth Theatre’s adult production of Oliver!, Florence in Chess and Petra in A Little Night Music for Theatre Works. She has recently completed pop and country music albums that are available on iTunes!

 
MARY JANE MCCLOSKEY
Aunt March

Mary Jane is thrilled and pleased to be making her Hale Centre Debut in the production of Little Women! She recently performed Jack's Mother in Into the Woods for the Arizona Broadway Theatre and will be appearing there again as Sister Betha in The Sound of Music in Novemeber,  She has sung numerous operatic and musical theatre roles over the years but her favorites remain, Musetta in La Boheme, Christine in Phantom and Eulalie in The Music Man! She wishes to give thanks to her husband for his never ending support and love, her family for the many pizza dinners they share.

DAN STROUD
Mr. Laurence

Dan pleased to return to HCT as the stern but ultimately  loveable Grandfather.  Dan has performed in more than forty stage productions in his Twenty-plus years in theater.  Favorite roles include the role of Belle’s loony, loveable father in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Van Buren in Damn Yankees, Mayor Shinn in  The Music Man and as another Grandfather in Ragtime. Dan lives in Phoenix with his  beautiful wife Maureen.

 

BRYAN STEWART
Professor Bhaer

Bryan is excited to be returning to the Hale Centre Theatre. You may remember seeing him in Damn Yankees as Mr. Applegate and as Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden. Bryan was also seen as the Pirate King in MCC’s Act I Production’s version of Pirates of Penzance. He received his Bachelor Degree in Music Theatre Performance from Arizona State University. Bryan thanks the Dietleins for another wonderful opportunity to be on their stage.



TRENT RASMUSSEN

Trent is thrilled and honored to make his debut at Hale Theatre in this production of Little Women. His past productions include: Oliver! (Fagin), Back to the 80's! (Corey Palmer), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor Greydon), and A Christmas Carol (Fred Anderson). Trent and his wife, Calli Rasmussen, share a life-long love of theatre, and can't wait to perform together in the future. Thanks to my family and friends for your ongoing support!

Corey is excited to be making his Hale Debut. He is an acting student at PVCC and has recently preformed as Leaf Coneybear in Putnam and received a KCACTF Nomination for his portrayal of Jimmy Harper in Reefer Madness. Other: Prouvaire in Les  Miserables (NYA Nominee), Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (Zoni Nominee), Ching Ho in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Zoni Winner), and Peter Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank (Zoni Winner) and many others. Corey would like to thank his family, his cast, and his girlfriend for their love and support.
