The Rolling Stones are a British Rock band formed in London in 1962. Active for six decades, they are one of the most popular and enduring bands of the Rock Era. In the early 1960s, the Rolling Stones pioneered the gritty, rhythmically driven sound that came to define Hard Rock. They are often considered the greatest rock band of all time.
 
Eric Clapton is regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in rock music and  was ranked second in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 greatest Guitarists of all time. He was at the forefront of the British Invasion only behind the Beatles and the Stones. His relevance has continued from decade to decade to decade.
