Jessie Jo Pauley
Dorothy Gale

Jessie Jo Pauley is sweet 16 and honored to perform her dream role. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is on stage for Jessie Jo. This is her 36th production; credits include: Belle/Narrator in A Christmas Carol. She won her first ariZoni Award for The Addams Family (Morticia) at Actor's Youth Theatre. NYA nominations for Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (Snow White) and They Chose Me (Laura) at Valley Youth Theatre. Love to cast, crew, the Dietleins, Cambrian, Lincoln and my family!
Jesse Thomas Foster
Hunk/Scarecrow

Jesse Thomas Foster is a recent graduate of ASU with his BFA in Voice Performance. This is his third show with Hale where he was last seen in My Fair Lady. Favorite shows include A Very Potter Musical (Harry Potter), The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), and The Producers (Leo Bloom). He thanks Sue Anne Lucius and Carole FitzPatrick for their instruction and Garrett Lee for his immense love and support. Mischief Managed.
 
Vinny Chavez
Hickory/Tinman

Vinny Chavez is excited to return to Oz as Hickory/Tinman because his first show ever was playing Scarecrow in 4th grade! Previous Hale credits: Lend Me a Tenor (Bellhop), A Christmas Carol (Fred), Dames at Sea (Dick). Favorite Credits: Valhalla (Ludwig, Nearly Naked Theatre), Fatboy (Tenant/Prosecutor, ASU). Vinny is Program Director for AZ Magic of Music and Dance, a non-profit theater program for disabled youth/adults. Love to Cambrian, family, friends, and Jeff.
Geoffrey Goorin
Zeke/Cowardly Lion

Geoffrey Goorin has been involved in theatre since childhood after seeing his first Broadway musical. Numerous credits include Shrek in Shrek and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family. He also writes, directs, produces and acts in shows for a local company called Murder and a Meal Dinner Theatre. Special thanks to his gorgeous children for inspiring him, his mother Roz and his late father, Stan who taught him that laughter is everyone's best medicine. Enjoy the show!
Heidi-Liz Johnson
Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West

Heidi-Liz Johnson is thrilled, honored, and “wickedly” grateful to Cambrian, Dave, Corrin and Lincoln for the incredible opportunity to bring this iconic Wizard of Oz character to life on her favorite stage. Previous shows at HCT include A Christmas Carol (Fred’s Wife/Ensemble), 9 to 5 (Missy Hart/Ensemble), Footloose (Eleanor/Ensemble), Phantom (Ensemble) and My Fair Lady (Mrs. Hopkins/Ensemble). Alanna Kalbfleisch
Aunt Em/Glinda the Good Witch

Alanna Kalbfleisch is delighted to make her Hale Theater debut! Past credits include: Mesa Encore: Carousel (Carrie Pipperidge), Grease (Frenchy); Theater Works: I Get a Kick Out of Cole, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty), the critically acclaimed new musical comedy National Pastime (Betty Lou), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit). JONATHAN HOLDSWORTH
Uncle Henry/Mayor of Munchkinland/Emerald City Guard

Jonathan Holdsworth thanks you for coming to this wonderful production! Jonathan was seen earlier this season in Hale's productions of Phantom and My Fair Lady. Other recent shows include Mary Poppins at the Phoenix Theatre, Songs for a New World at MCC, and The Full Monty with Mesa Encore Theatre. Matthew R. Harris
Professor Chester Marvel/The Wizard of Oz

Matthew R. Harris is thrilled to be back at Hale after last appearing in Phantom (Cholet). Other stage credits include Footloose (Uncle Wes/Cop/Principal), 9 to 5 (Dick/Detective), Into The Woods (Cinderella's Prince), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor), Wrong Window (Jeff), and A Funny Thing...Forum (Pseudolus). Connor Wince
Nikko/Crow/Lollipop Guild/ Dance Captain

Connor Wince was recently seen at Hale in The Sound of Music (Rolf Gruber) and Footloose (Ren). Other regional credits: Annie, Crazy for You, Carousel, and Chicago. Next up, Connor is headed to NYC to earn his BFA in musical theatre from Pace University. Thanks to my family and Isaac for their love and support. A special thanks to Cambrian for helping me become the performer I am today and always believing in my talent.
James D. Gish
Coroner/Winkie General/Tree

James D. Gish is ecstatic to be returning to Hale where he appeared in A Christmas Carol (Young Scrooge/Narrator) and My Fair Lady (Freddy Eynsford-Hill). He has also performed at Desert Stages Theatre, where he appeared in 42nd Street and Shrek (Lord Farquaad). A freshman studying Business at ASU, James hopes to pursue theatre as a career. He dedicates his performance to his parents, grandmother, Cammy, Kelly, and his girlfriend. Thank you all for your love and support.
Michael Schwenke
Barrister/Winkie/Tree

Michael Schwenke is very excited to return to the Hale in The Wizard of Oz! Some of his previous works include Follies (Male Ensemble), Shrek: The Musical (Little Pig/Thelonious), How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Bud Frump), and in Hale's production of 9 to 5 The Musical (Bob Enright). Michael thanks his friends and family for being the best that money could buy and for their love and constant support.
Nick Fernandez
Crow/Lollipop Guild/ Flying Monkey/Winkie

Nick Fernandez is 22 years and pleased to be making his third appearance at Hale Theatre. He studied theatre at GCU and performed in The Boy Friend (Bobby) and Amahl and the Night Visitors (Ensemble). Favorite roles include West Side Story (Bernardo), Legally Blonde, the Musical (Sundeep Padamadan), Hairspray (Fender) and Footloose (Lyle). Ben Massouras
Founding Father/Winkie

Ben Massouras is excited to make his debut at Hale in his favorite childhood story, The Wizard of Oz! Recent credits: Godspell (“All Good Gifts”), The Flying Trunk (Maestro, ariZoni/NYA Nomination), A Chorus Line (Bobby), Seussical (Wickersham, NYA Award), Children of Eden (Storyteller) and Anything Goes (Sailor). Nathan A. Taylor

Nathan A. Taylor is excited to be making his debut at the Hale Centre Theatre. He has worked with EVCT (East Valley Children’s Theatre), AYT (Actor’s Youth Theatre), DST (Desert Stages Theatre) and just finished Thoroughly Modern Millie at MCC (Mesa Community College). Nathan is a junior going into his senior year at Westwood High School. “I want to thank everyone who has helped me pursue my acting dream; it’s becoming more and more a reality!”
Zib Jacobs
Crow/Lullaby League/Poppy

Zib Jacobs, a graduate of Broadway Dance Center’s professional program in NYC, has starred as “Rizzo” in Grease, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and danced for Madonna’s dance fitness video, Addicted to Sweat. She spent a season performing with the Phoenix Suns’ Solar Squad Dancers. Zib has toured all over the world including England, Ireland, Japan, New York, California and Washington DC but is excited to join Hale Theater in her native Arizona.
Monica Domschot
Lullaby League/Poppy

Monica Domschot is thrilled to return to the Hale stage in The Wizard of Oz! Previous Hale credits include My Fair Lady, A Christmas Carol, 9 to 5, Oklahoma!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray, and Damn Yankees. Other credits include Lyric Opera Theatre’s Little Women, Bat Boy: The Musical, and Cabaret. She holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University. Skylar Ryan is so excited to be making her debut at Hale Centre Theatre. Her favorite roles include Loraine (42nd Street), Carmen (Curtains) and Benny (Rent). Kimberly Sheperd is excited to be back at Hale! In addition to performing she is currently teaching and choreographing throughout the Valley. Jacqueline Brecker is ecstatic to be returning to the Hale stage! Recent credits include Carousel (Louise), The Sound of Music (Liesl), Footloose (Ariel), Legally Blonde (Serena), Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Millie), and The Drowsy Chaperone (Drowsy Chaperone). Teddy
Toto

Teddy is excited to be performing at the wonderful Hale Theatre! He is a friendly, loving 2.5 year-old Havanese trained by 16 year-old Lilla Brandt. In February, Teddy played Toto in Perry High School's production of The Wizard of Oz. Teddy sends lots of kisses to his friends at Perry for their support, and thanks Cambrian, David, Corrin and all his new friends at Hale for making this show absolutely pawesome!
Cambrian James
Director / Choreographer

Cambrian James  is well-known for his versatile staging throughout the Valley and nationally. He is a multi-award winning director and choreographer for Footloose, Damn Yankees and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cambrian has enjoyed a long career as an actor and dancer in Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Crazy For You (Bobby Child), The King and I (the King) and Hairspray (Edna Turnblad). Thanks to Dave, Corrin, Lincoln, Kelly, Laszlo and especially to this very talented cast for their hard work.
Lincoln Wright
Music Director

Lincoln Wright  is honored to be back at the Hale where he has been music director for many shows including My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Phantom, 9 to 5, Dames at Sea, and Hairspray. He was last seen on the Hale stage at the piano in Forever Plaid; before that he was in A Christmas Carol as Fezziwig and the Undertaker. He is also a pianist for Ballet Etudes and Ballet Arizona. He is in awe of this stellar cast and Cambrian's brilliant direction. Thanks to Dave, Corrin, and Kelly for all their support.
